Start your journey by coding festive candy canes with colorful beads. Then, take control of Spheros as they race and navigate through winter-themed obstacles, showing off your coding skills in real time. Team up with Bee-Bots to explore snowy mazes and tackle fun challenges.

Get your hands on Makey Makey to build interactive holiday-themed projects that respond to touch. Each activity is designed to spark curiosity and introduce you to the basics of coding and technology.

Join us for a season of excitement, creativity, and learning as we solve the mystery of the runaway snowman and discover the amazing world of robotics and technology!

Camp 2: December 7 | NASA Aviation – Take Flight with Rudolph

Get ready to embark on an incredible journey with “Take Flight with Rudolph!” This winter, join us for a thrilling aviation adventure designed especially for second and third-grade scientists.

In this exciting camp, you’ll dive into the science of flight with Rudolph as your guide. Experience the magic of aviation with our Mysteries of Flight demonstration, where you’ll uncover the secrets behind how planes soar and learn about Bernoulli’s principle in a fun and engaging way.

Design, build, and test your very own model airplane to see how it flies and discover how real aircraft are engineered. Challenge your pilot skills by experimenting with different flying techniques and explore the fascinating world of aviation careers. Learn about some of the coolest aircraft and unmanned systems being developed by NASA engineers and scientists!

So, get ready to take off and soar with Rudolph this winter—where every day brings a new and exciting adventure in the sky!

Camp 3: December 14 | NASA Space – Does It Snow On Mars?

Get ready for an out-of-this-world adventure with “Does It Snow on Mars?” a winter STEM camp specially designed for second and third grade scientists! Blast off on an interplanetary journey to the Red Planet and discover what it takes to survive in space.

Inspired by the amazing Curiosity rover, this camp offers a hands-on experience with space exploration and the challenges of living and working on Mars. Young scientists will dive into the science of weather on Earth, the Moon, and Mars by creating their own snowstorm in a jar, exploring how different environments affect snow and ice.

“Warm” up with a cup of liquid nitrogen hot chocolate and see the science behind this chilly treat, while learning how astronauts keep warm in the cold depths of space. Discover how mittens help us stay cozy on Earth and compare that to how space gear protects astronauts from the harsh environment. In our Space Freeze Program, participants will get to see the effects of extreme cold firsthand.

Throughout the camp, kids will explore the wonders of space science, learn about exciting space careers, and discover how NASA is planning future missions to the Moon and Mars through the Artemis project.

Outer space is calling—are you ready to answer? Join us for a winter camp that’s truly out of this world!
