
STEM Saturdays is a monthly series at the Virginia Air & Space Science Center focused on hands-on learning in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. Each event highlights a different STEM theme and connects families with real-world applications through exhibits, activities, community partners, and films. Events run from 10AM to 2PM, and the first 100 attendees receive free admission.

STEM Saturday: Aviation Day – January 17, 2026
Aviation Day explores the science and history of flight in Hampton Roads. Visitors can participate in aviation-themed STEM activities, learn about local aviation partners, explore hands-on exhibits, view historic aircraft, attend STEM-themed children’s storytime, and watch an IMAX film during their visit.

STEM Saturday: Robotics Day – February 21, 2026
Robotics Day focuses on robotics, automation, and interactive technology. Guests can engage in robotics and STEM-themed activities, visit the robotics lab, learn from community partners, explore hands-on exhibits, attend children’s storytime, and enjoy an IMAX film as part of the experience.

STEM Saturday: Engineering Day – March 21, 2026
Engineering Day highlights problem-solving, design, and applied engineering concepts. Attendees can take part in engineering and STEM-themed activities, interact with community partners, explore hands-on exhibits, visit the robotics lab for interactive demonstrations, attend children’s storytime, and see an IMAX film during their visit.
