Museums for All

The Virginia Air & Space Science Center and Museums for All

Museums for All aims to ensure that all families can take advantage of our Center as a resource within the Hampton Roads community. The costs of our admission can be a barrier for many low-income families.  This initiative supports those receiving food assistance (SNAP) benefits visiting the Virginia Air & Space Science Center for a fee of $2 per person, up to four people, with the presentation of a SNAP Electronic Benefits Transfer (EBT) card.  This admission is good for our exhibits; extra fees are required for IMAX or our MAXFlight program.  A general Family Membership can also be purchased for $25, which IMAX passes for the family.

Why are we starting this program?  The Virginia Air & Space Science Center wants to be a community resource.  Our mission is to educate, entertain, and inspire explorers of all ages. We cannot do that if barriers prevent our community residents from participating.  We are working with community partners to help spread the word and encourage people to come and see our facility. We want to inspire youth, but that inspiration needs to be supported by family and community members, so we keep that enthusiasm and curiosity alive.  This requires everyone to have the opportunity to share in creating those inspiring moments.  Let’s work together to help identify the many exciting ways the Hampton Roads region has led innovation in aerospace.
