Donation Request Policy
The Virginia Air & Space Science Center has a policy for those asking for admission vouchers or membership donations. Most of the contributions are being asked for as a door prize, silent auction item, or other forms of fundraising. We appreciate being a community attraction that would garner the requests. We receive many such requests from various organizations. They are raising funds for many good reasons. The requests often exceed a couple of requests per week. As a result, it makes it difficult for us to decide on who or what programs or organizations should be selected to receive their requests.
Starting May 1, 2023, the Virginia Air & Space Science Center will collect and draw a monthly winner for their requests. The requested amount may be for (up to) 6 Admission Passes or a general Family Membership. We will collect all requests from the previous month, from the 1st to the last day of the month. The next business day, a drawing will determine who receives the donation. We will allow a singular organization to make this request twice per year. Be mindful of the timing of your event and the donation request.

We hope all our community partners understand our need to implement this strategy and that it provides the fairest way to determine who receives the donations. Hampton Roads is a generous and supportive community in which we plan to participate for the foreseeable future.
