The Virginia Air & Space Center is celebrating our 25th Anniversary this year! To celebrate this milestone, the Center held The Astronaut’s Table, a cocktail attire event, on April 22, 2017. The Astronaut’s Table kicked-off celebrations for the Center’s 25 years and reflected on the impact and partnership the Virginia Air & Space Center has had with Hampton Roads and beyond.
The Astronaut’s Table rang true to its name with special guests Walt Cunnigham, Lunar Module Pilot of the Apollo 7, and Fred Haise, Jr., Lunar Module Pilot of Apollo 13, in attendance.
The Astronaut’s Table was a unique event that masterfully integrated Science and Technology with Art and Entertainment through exciting science demonstrations, dynamic musical groups, and presentations of the latest technologies to showcase where the Virginia Air & Space Center is going in the next 25 years. The Astronaut’s Table took the “farm to table” concept to the next level for an out of this world experience!
A special “thank you” to our event partners, community partners, friends at NASA Langley, and guests for making The Astronaut’s Table a truly wonderful start to celebrating the Virginia Air & Space Center’s 25th anniversary. Here’s to the next 25 years!
