Camp NASA Winter Camp Registration is OPEN!

We are located at 600 Settlers Landing Rd. Hampton, VA 23669

Dates and Times: We will be offering four individual Saturday Day Camps on November 28th, December 5th, December 12th, and December 19th. Camp will be from 10 am – 3 pm. *Each Saturday will operate as an individual camp purchase.*

Pricing: Member: $80 per day || Non-Members: $90 per day

Purchase of camp comes with a Camper T-shirt and 1 Guest Pass (valid through December 31, 2026). There will be no Before or After Care offered for Winter STEM Camps.

Other Information: Be sure to register your child(ren) for their current grade level. Campers must be at least 5 years old before the start of camp in order to attend. All activities are subject to change. Registration closes at noon on the Friday before the camp begins.

Cancellation Policy: If for any reason you need to cancel your registration for camp, you must do so no later than two weeks prior to the start of your camper’s session for a 50% refund.

November 28th – Robotics: Frosty’s Robotic World

Step into Frosty’s Robotic World! This winter STEM camp is perfect for kindergarten and first-grade scientists ready to explore the exciting world of robotics, coding, and technology.

Start by coding your very own candy canes with colorful beads, then watch as your Spheros zoom around on exciting holiday missions. Team up with Bee-Bots to navigate festive mazes and discover how these friendly robots can follow your commands.

Then, bring Frosty and his snowman friends to life with Snowmen Scribble Bots! Learn how simple coding and robotics can make your snowman move, create playful patterns, and turn a blank page into a winter wonderland of art.

Through hands-on activities, campers will build early coding skills, practice problem solving, and discover how robots use our commands to move and complete tasks. Get ready to code, create, and have snow much fun in Frosty’s Robotic World!

December 5th – Aviation: Take Flight with Rudolph 

Get ready to soar into a world of wonder with “Take Flight with Rudolph”! Join us this winter for a fun-filled aviation adventure designed just for kindergarten and first-grade science explorers.

In this magical camp, you’ll discover the amazing science of flight with Rudolph as your guide. Experience the thrill of flying with our Mysteries of Flight demonstration, where you’ll learn about the forces that make planes soar and the magic of Bernoulli’s principle in a way that’s both exciting and easy to understand.

Build and test your very own airplane to see how it flies and learn all about how real airplanes are put together. Put your pilot skills to the test by trying out different ways to make things fly, and explore the fascinating world of aviation careers. Discover some of the coolest aircraft and unmanned systems being created by NASA engineers and scientists!

So, gear up and get ready to take flight with Rudolph this winter, where every day is a new adventure in the sky!

December 12th – Space: Winter Storm Warning on Mars 

Get ready for an out-of-this-world adventure! “Winter Storm Warning on Mars” is designed especially for kindergarten and first-grade science explorers! Blast off on an interplanetary journey to the Red Planet and discover what it takes to survive in space. Inspired by the amazing Curiosity rover, this camp offers an exciting opportunity to learn about the challenges of exploring Mars and what astronauts need to live and work there.

In this hands-on camp, young scientists will create their very own snowstorm in a jar, exploring how weather works on both Earth and Mars. They’ll experiment with melting snowmen using different temperatures of hot chocolate, all while discovering the differences between snowy Earth and icy Mars. For a frosty treat, participants will experience the science behind liquid nitrogen and make their own chilly “hot chocolate” with a cool twist. The adventure continues with a space suit activity, where kids can explore how astronaut gear protects and insulates while getting a taste of what it’s like to prepare for space travel.

Throughout the camp, children will explore the wonders of space science, learn about exciting careers in space, and discover how NASA is planning missions to the Moon and Mars through the Artemis project. Get ready to unleash your creativity and explore the exciting world of engineering during our “Sleds, Snowballs, and Simple Machines” camp! This winter camp is perfect for kindergarten and first-grade scientists eager to dive into the magic of force and motion.

Gear up for an exciting adventure where you’ll explore how simple machines can help you design, build, and test your own amazing creations. Dive into the science of motion and friction as you engineer and race your own popsicle stick sleds!

And don’t miss the ultimate winter challenge: design your own snowball launcher and join a frosty snowball fight! Explore exciting engineering careers, build icy bridges, and discover how NASA’s innovative design process can ignite your creativity and inspire chilly adventures all year round.
