Under the general supervision of the Director of Facilities, the Facility Support Technician will perform general maintenance and repair of building equipment and facility, requiring practical skill and knowledge in such trades as painting, carpentry, plumbing, drywall, and HVAC. You will perform a variety of tasks that require knowledge of safe work practices.

Duties and Responsibilities Include:
  • Perform general maintenance on equipment and facilities
  • Follow Standard Operating Procedures for safe work practices
  • Prioritize and complete open work orders in a timely manner
  • Patch minor holes and cracks in walls and ceilings
  • Perform general labor such as carrying, stacking, and sorting of materials used in and around the job site, and debris removal
  • Clean drains, job site, and equipment
  • Replace lamps and clean light fixtures
  • Repair damaged wall panels, ceiling tiles, furniture, carpet tiles, and floor tiles
  • Maintain, adjust, and repair doors, door hardware, doorknobs, and related items
  • Perform maintenance-person work requiring the use of hand tools and power tools
  • Complete daily, weekly, and monthly walkthroughs and inspections
  • Assist with additional facility related departments if coverage is needed
  • Special projects as assigned on a case-by-case basis
  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
  • Two+ years of professional experience in general building maintenance
  • Experience using hand and power tools such as: hammers, hoists, saws, drills, wrenches, precision measures, electronic/electrical testing devices), and ability to properly use specialized equipment, including tools used in electrical, plumbing, or general carpentry
  • Customer service skills to act responsively to inquiries and requests; and escalate the more difficult matters
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
  • Effective communication skills to build strong working relationships with staff, customers, and others

Physical Requirements:

  • Stand and walk for long periods of time
  • Bend, stoop, kneel, and reach
  • Lift boxes or equipment weighing up to 50 pounds
  • Climb ladders or step stools
  • Work from motorized platforms

Visitor Services Associate:

Employment Type: Part-time/Seasonal

Under the direct supervision of the Associate Director of Visitor Services, the Visitor Services Associate greets customers at the front desk, conducts sales in the gift store or café, and greets/assists guests at the IMAX theater. 

Duties and Responsibilities Include:

  • Enthusiastically welcome guests as they enter the Center, or greet them as they enter the gift shop, cafe, or IMAX
  • Assist guests with ticket and membership purchases
  • Answer guest questions/assist with other guest needs
  • Other special projects as needed


  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
  • Outgoing, friendly, and customer service oriented
  • Ability to communicate enthusiastically about the Center and its available services
  • Must be trustworthy and reliable 
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to remain calm in confrontational situations, display discernment and discretion
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Possess basic math skills with an understanding of debits and credits
  • Must be able to accurately and efficiently perform data entry and other duties as assigned 
  • Basic computer skills
  • Cash register/cash handling experience a plus

Essential Job Requirement:

  • Ability to work weekends and occasional evenings
