Hard-hitting, high-powered
rock helps define the Rolling Stones as one of the
world’s most recognized and influential bands
in rock ‘n roll history. Experience their
larger-than-life performance in IMAX, beginning
April 4, 2008, as Oscar-Winning filmmaker Martin
Scorsese turns the camera on the legendary Stones
in the most extraordinary musical film event of
the year, “Shine a Light”.
No stranger to rock
concert films, Scorsese filmed the Stones over a
two-day period at the intimate
Beacon Theater in New York City in fall 2006. Scorsese
assembled an incredible team of cinematographers
to capture the raw energy of the legendary band.
The executive producers are none other than Rolling
Stones members Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Charlie
Watts and Ron Wood. “Shine a Light” takes
you behind the scenes to catch exclusive footage
of the Rolling Stones, their “A Bigger Bang” tour
and the evolution it took to get there.
It is hard to overestimate the Rolling Stones unique
ability to entertain and only a handful of musicians
in any genre can attempt to achieve their stature.
From beginning to end “Shine a Light” immerses
you in the energetic rock ‘n roll scene that
only the unparalleled image and sound quality of
The IMAX Experience can produce.
