Do you need your space? Take an out-of-this-world adventure to space and beyond! Explore other planets in our galaxy. Play the Docking in Space Game and make an edible rover. Explore the moon, Mars and beyond with the new space gallery Space Quest! Imagine how holidays could be celebrated on other planets and create a new "space" holiday. Register Online!

Celebrations Around the World

Everyone loves a celebration! Join the festivities when you discover how different cultures celebrate all over the world. Make your own paper dragon to celebrate Chinese New Year. Learn about Children's Day and see how it's celebrated around the world. Create Mexican clay figures and take your best shot at a piñata during a Fiesta. Take a look at Santa's many traditions in different cultures. Register Online!

CSI: To Catch a Toy Theif

There's a toy thief on the run and it's up to you to solve the case! Investigate a crime scene and learn a variety of forensic techniques to help solve the mystery of the missing toys! Could you play your favorite sport in space? Find out when you explore Sports in Space. How would some of your favorite sports or games "play-out" in space? Discover how you might need to adapt some sports to play on other planets. Invent new games to play in space and create playing fields for them. Rovin' Robots - Grades K-3
Wednesday-Friday, December 26-28
Get radical with robots! Discover how robots already help us with many everyday tasks and explore how they may help us tomorrow! Build edible robot arms and participate in a Master Machines scavenger hunt. Program rovers to perform tasks, and transport and collect objects on a simulated Martian surface with the new gallery Space Quest! Create a navigation course and experiment with Robotix to complete the course. Register Online!

Robo-World - Grades 4-7 - CLOSED

Take a radical adventure into the world of robotics! Investigate the history of robotics and how we use robots to explore space, including on-going Mars missions. Experiment with Mars Rovers to complete tasks on the Red Planet's surface and program robots to perform a variety of tasks. Use LEGO's Mindstorms to navigate an obstacle course that you and your team create. Register Online!

Have you always wanted to go to space? Well, here's your chance to join Mission Control when you perform a shuttle mission with our new simulator! Learn the ins-and-outs of the space shuttle operating system and using a glider, discover how the shuttle glides to Earth for a powerless landing. Select a shuttle mission and design a poster for a mini-exhibit on the shuttle. Construct a mock up of the space shuttle cockpit and identify the different parts of the instrument panel. Practice using the cockpit simulator checklist, and work in groups to run your shuttle simulations. Register Online!
